Members of our organisation, as well as community members lodged objections to the demolition of the former Schirmers bakery.
Karen addressed Council on the 19th April, 2023 at Holbrook and managed to get hold on the DA for a month in order to address several issues, such as the lack of time for public comment and the heritage significance of the Bakery and the F. Metters & Co. Peel oven.
The next council meeting will be held at Culcairn Council Chambers on the 17th May, 2023 commencing at 6:00 pm. Please support the retention of this historic building for the Walla Walla community and the successful businesses operating from these premises.
